Going Down To Liverpool Posts: 2856 05/06/08 09:41:11 A LEGEND IN HIS OWN MIND!	A good driving song does not necessarily have to do with driving. It's mostly how the song is constructed. "Layla" has nothing to do with Driving, Automobiles, Motorcycles, Roads, Highways, etc. It's about Eric Clapton falling in lust with George Harrison's wife. (Must have happened when Clapton played guitar in my favorite Beatles song "While My Guitar Gently Weeps.") yet it sounds great in the car. It can be any Genre you care to name, (Wagner's "Ride Of The Valkries" is a good driving tune that happens to be Classical Music.) also. There are some Country Songs that sound good in a car: "Highwayman" by The Highwaymen (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Kris Kistofferson.) sounds great in the car. "I built it one piece at a time And it didn't cost me a dime..." Johnny Cash, I believe Give Mark a Cigar and a Bombers Jersey! That is in fact a Johnny Cash song called "One Piece At A Time". (It's about a guy that works at a GM/Cadillac Factory and over time, steals enough parts to build a car on his own.)
