I had recently stared a new job and had to work during both the Kansas/North Carolina and Kansas/Memphis games, but was able to check out one of the monitors they have at work every so often. That shot Mario Chalmer put up is one of the all-time clutch shots in tournament history. He has had a knack for making clutch shots.
The player I am most happy for is Darnell Jackson. He has been through such tragedy in his life, but has found the strength to persevere. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=ncb&id=3326085 I wish I had seen the shot of him leaping the scorer's table and giving his mom a hug when the game was over.
On the women's side, I was pulling for Stanford as I had become a Candice Wiggins fan a couple of years ago. She is someone that came through adversity and developed into an outstanding young woman and great role model. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncw/ncaatourney08/columns/story?columnist=hays_graham&id=3331342 She may not have an NCAA title, but is no less a champion.
