WHEN are The Bangles going to join Twitter? |
Lead | ||
|
They've mentioned it in podcasts, and after thinking on it, it would be a cool thing for us fans. They could give us up to the minute play by plays on the
progress of the new album among other things, and the possibilities are endless. Maybe they'd tweet before going onstage, tell us about some odd thing
that happens on the way to a show. So who else wants to see them tweeting? I think if enough people here request it, they'll be doing it. Then
they'll be "Walking down our Tweet". That's a terrible joke I know.

This is good, a couple peeps who know their way around tweetsville. Thank you Sylvia. Mine's Blackbird38. See, now the Bangles should definitely go on
there. And you guys forgot one more song title: Mary Tweet.

Twitter is overrated for me as well. I'm happy with Facebook.

I tried Twitter a few months ago and did not like it. I am happy with Facebook at the moment. I am considering closing my Myspace account that I have had for
two years since I don't go on there as much as on Facebook. Hey VickiLover, will you be getting rid of your Myspace account?

I do all three. Facebook daily, myspace every few days, and twitter about twice a month. The best thing about twitter is that celebrities get really personal
on them. I really check it mostly to see what Drake Bell had for breakfast or how Jane Wiedlin is spending her afternoon. My actual friends don't tweet too
much. The celebrities keep it going. Myspace is really cool to have because you can make your own webpage and make it as personal as you want. And it's
great for people who don't have webpage building experience. It's also a great way for bands to get their music out. Colbie Caillat can tell you that.
And Facebook is where you pretty much talk to everyone who will talk back.

I am more than happy being on Facebook and here on RP. As for Twitter, I couldn't care less about that site, to be brutally honest.
UPDATE: I have now deleted my MySpace account, so MySpace won't be missed... Along with Bebo, it was a crap site anyway.

Banglebabe wrote:See now that's really great stuff. "Ask Susanna" is almost like twittering in a way. I think it would seem fun for them to write miscelllaneous updates on anything & everything. Maybe they could be in an Audi showroom, and one of them is shopping for a new car. Maybe they're tweeting about a sticking point they're at for a song on the new album, and are racking their brains out trying to come up with the last couple of verses. Maybe the dog gets ahold of the Thanksgiving Turkey Vicki spent the day cooking, so they just order a couple of pizzas. Who knows what they'd tweet about. But it would be interesting no matter what because they're celebrities, and even more interesting for their fans. We're missing out.

I just don't see the Bangles taking time to twitter. Afterall, they do have their diary/blog in the fanclub area of their site to write in if they wanted
to.

Joltrider wrote: Good point, Jolt. But because of a hectic schedule & obligations, they aren't able to blog or give personal updates nearly as much as they'd like to, a reason for which this would be good for them and the fans. Myself being a fan like everyone else, I've always been curious if The Bangles shop at wal mart for certain things, what they eat for breakfast, what kind of furniture they like, etc. If Debbi goes on there & says; "I just bought this antique outdoor garden statue at an estate auction, had to have it, I won it for $800" That would be exciting because it's up to the minute news, and the fans feel connected because she's sharing something that happened in her day.
