My great appreciation for the compliments on my work, friend. Still being on the mend, this along with some great tunes playing helps to relieve the monotony.
I think you've been doing your Bangleonia magazine a lot longer than I've been doing this, but I've also seen that improve on itself over the years
more and more. You'll probobly agree with me (because you refer to your mag as a labor of love) that applying the old saying "practice makes
perfect" is easy when it's something you love doing. And maybe you don't always get to the level you want to in your endeavor, but it's
exciting to know without doubt that no matter what you do, if you keep at it, there's absolutely no possible way you can't improve. So I hope to see
both of us in another 20 years doing the same thing we're doing now!

Your colouring is very vibrant and spot on, plus it draws the reader into the subject matter as soon as you see it. It is very visually impacting and that is what makes a good comic strip.
I handed a few copies of my Banglemania fanzine to Vicki when the gurls were in Bristol last June and the day after the concert I asked Vicki what she thought of my fanzines and she said they were awesome and that she got a kick out of reading them. She likes the way I inject my offbeat kind of humour into the fanzine and that no malice is intended to anyone. I'm sure Vicki passed on my Banglemania copies for Susanna and Debbi (and possibly Harpo) to look through on the tourbus across Europe last summer. At least Gracie (and the Bangles themselves) are aware of both our projects (my Banglemania fanzines and your kewl Bangles comic book) and they give both our projects a massive official thumbs-up!

VickiLover wrote: Right, I can sincerely see how Vicki would say that because you've sent me all the up to date Banglemania issues. It's enjoyable to sit w/a cup of coffee reading them, because it IS good reading, and there is a lot of funny stuff in there. You're an unknown like myself, but you put the effort & time forth, and what you write & put together is as worthwhile to read as anyone else's work. You structure & categorize everything like a regular magazine, and when I read it, that's exactly what it feels like. It's all a matter of someone flipping the pages, giving it a chance & taking a look see. The other distinction is that we both don't have everything we create down to an exact science yet, but that gives it a lot of endearing qualities. Right as well the fact that there's no greater feeling than to get acknowledgement from Camp Bangle. To their credit, I've never seen them unsupportive of anyone's creative efforts, and there's a lot to be said about that.

I like to be organised when I do a fanzine, so that in every issue I always have the features on the same pages whenever possible. It is a bit annoying when
you read a magazine and the features always move around in the magazine every week/month etc. I like to confine each feature to a certain page because I've
always been organised like that. Nothing irritates a reader more like when you expect a magazine article to be on one page one week when it is on another page
the following week.
One of my other Banglemania readers is Sophie and she casually told Gracie that I was doing a fanzine on the Bangles. Gracie asked Sophie if I was making any revenue from my fanzines and Sophie said I wasn't and the fanzine was just done in my spare time on my home PC, so Gracie is cool with it.
I may end up using some more of your more recent comic creations to add in my future fanzines, so I'm sure you are OK with that!

Yeah, you're right, a lot of magazines are like that. Leads to a lot of hunting & squinting in the table of contents. But sure, feel free to throw some
comics in there, I'm beaming with pride when I see it in there! I think it's cool that you kind of continued on where the original Banglemania fanzine
left off. Do you know who was doing that? I think it was a few people, right?

The fanzine was run by a guy called John Edwards and it had the backing and blessing from the Bangles themselves at the time. Sadly John Edwards had to stop producing the fanzine in 2000/2001 because of a personal bereavement in his family or something, but CrazyVegan told me that John Edwards was like a mine of information on the Bangles when he was doing this UK fanzine.

I can't wait to see if Debbi's gonna turn into a Werewolf or not-she sure looked like she'd did in that last gel! I wonder if Lamont Cranston,Lon
Chaney,Jr.'s character will make a Guest appearence here? Would be great if he'd did! I look forward to see how this story develops! Michael Boyce
