i KNOW!!! We've been trying to wrestle away the rights to do that, but it has not been easy. Unfortunately, it's not always about the music...We'll keep trying, though, 'cause i'd love to have that out, too. Thanks for being so supportive.Cheers!
Hi Laura!Yes, Matthew has played bass on the new record, so has our Derrick. Debbi and i are always wanting to micro-manage the bass parts, so i expect one of us will grab the bass soon...We've been experimenting with the process of recording itself, doing some parts at our home studios, writing together in the studio...it's been really fun---if not very quick! Thanks for posting...
Wow--i love that you're still playing guitar and that you never let the gender thing get in your way. It really is ridiculous, isn't it? Women rock, pure and simple.Now....masterpiece.....hmmmmm. Okay, if not a masterpiece, i've always been proud of "Who We Are, Where We Live" which the Continental Drifters recorded. i wrote it quickly (it just appeared) and i'm always able to get to an emotional place when i sing it. Thanks for asking.

The London Bangler
That sounds wonderful--happy birthday and i hope you raise pots of money!
Hello to Britney--and there are no plans right now...but ya never know...!
We had so much fun with those staged readings and i'd welcome a chance to do more. The play is in development and i'll let you know if there are any performances upcoming.
Thanks, Courtney. You know me--i still scour thrift shops...See you on Twitter and good luck with the show--i mean, break a leg!
The Bangles - the most gorgeous band on the planet.

i am hoping that with the new cd, we'll be doing some serious touring---including Ohio. That's just my wish, of course...stay tuned to the Official...!
Hey, thanks, Richard. We keep the Downkiddie imprint as a way to keep control of the music, and yes, we've self-funded everything we've recorded this century, including the new record. It's incredibly liberating, if expensive! And i do remember playing those small LA clubs--and loving it--and it may seem weird (or possibly deranged) but i never doubted that we'd be successful! i guess that says something for positive thought and attitudes, huh?

There's some funny things going on with the server, so if this is a repeat--excuse me!!1) i need you all to have a listen to Susan Cowsill's new CD "Lighthouse" which is coming out next month. It's lovely, really.2) The new record is VERY 60's and easy-going.3) John and i are toying around with a very cool idea--we just need time together! We'll let you know...
Going Down To Liverpool
We're just scheduled for San Francisco and Las Vegas at the moment...i wish we were coming to Canada! And yes, let's do that. Contact our management to set it up, k?

i wish we'd been more consistent about archiving things back then! Susanna and i are going through some of the footage we have of old stuff...some will end up on the Bangles' YouTube channel, so keep an eye out.

Hey, thanks for writing. i love getting up to Liverpool (as opposed to Going Down To. Sorry Bad Bangles joke...) and have some friends there now through LIPA. It is different arranging for three voices, but actually when we were four we also did alot of unison singing. We're doing some serious harmonizing on this new record. And you're right. No one can accuse us of being over-exposed!!

John and i were listening to the new "She and Him" record last night--we love the tone of it.i think the new record is as eclectic as "All Over the Place" and maybe a little, uh....looser than "Doll Revlution. " Don't know, though, 'cause we're not done! And yeah, John and i have a project that we're discussing--over the dinner table. i'll keep you posted...
