--The phrase, 'A well REGULATED Militia',
is not being paid enough attention to, by the Supreme Court. 'REGULATED',
means the government does have legal authority to make laws about who can own guns,
and where they can be sold.
People who legally own guns shouldn't take a gun into a bank.
People who legally own a gun,
should not be allowed to pack the gun in carry on luggage on a Jet Airplane.
People on parole and probation should not have guns in their possession.
Felons should not have guns.
The full text of the 2nd Amendment reads, "A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free state,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed".
The 3rd word of the 2nd Amendment gives the federal government the power to regulate with laws,
and codes, who can own guns, and what kind of guns can be sold. In the future,
during the next few years,
the Supreme Court will probably eventually side with elected legislators who are gun control advocates,
because the founders of the Nation spelled out,
the base foundation of the government's right to regulate the ownership of guns in America,
in the wording of the 2nd Amendment.

Gun control is an interesting topic, but my friend 'regulations' are for mostly for private citizens, and therefore gun control laws have not much of a matter of concern for most of my life. I just used what was issued most GI Joes, I trained on what was standard equipment for an average soldier. Many of the tools of choice, that I have been trained to use, including the bazooka, are not legal for private citizens to possess. Well anyway I don't own any weapons these days. I am relying on the City Police and other branches of Law Enforcement for security. I want the federal government to keep guns out of the hands of violent criminals and terrorists. Too many guns are out there where crooks can get them. I want the laws regarding who can own guns be strict and unbending. Last year republicans defeated a democratic sponsored bit of legislation that would have made it a crime to sell a gun to a person on the no-fly watch list. I don't understand why people on the suspect terrorism watch list are still allowed to buy guns! I want stronger laws regarding gun control, I want America to be safer.
