A bunch of them told me at a recent party that they are getting a sick unpleasant headaches listening to Donald Trump because Trump might soon put a 20% tax on imported car repair parts. It is already extremely expensive to have repairs done. More taxes are not what people want. The forcast in Car and Driver magazine is that Trump plans to make it more difficult to replace foreign made car parts. Now every one is worried that Trump's 'America first policies', will drive up costs of owning European cars and send the price of imported parts skyrocketing.

So, Mr President has had a rendez-vous with Theresa May(-hem).
Apparently she's persuaded him that NATO is a good scheme, so we're not all going to die just yet.
Don't know if they managed to muster up any trade deals, I gather the UK exports slightly more to the US than it imports.
Over 50% of the UK's trade is with the EU, so imports will cost more after Brexit (including Heineken Lager) and I guess

THAT petition has gone viral !! 1.37 Million at the time of writing. Click on the link below for current total.https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/171928
One of these petitions got 4 MILLION + signatures last year....calling for a 2nd referendum on the EU.
When a government petition reaches 100,000 signatures it is considered for debate, it's not guaranteed it
depends on parliamentary time. As we know, politicians babble on....and talk a lot of hot air.

In recent times, Presidents George Bush Snr & Clinton missed out on state visits but were presented to HM the
Queen. Presidents George Bush Jnr & Obama WERE given full state visits.
The latest news is that the opposition politicians have called for an emergency debate in parliament since state visits
should "represent shared values and celebrate friendship. What Donald Trump's doing is dangerous." Theresa
May's office has responded saying that the state visit invitation will not be withdrawn.
If it is perceived there is a split in relationships in the West, this will be seen as a goal in Putin's net.
The controversy continues. Jeremy Corbyn, Leader of the Opposition being interviewed in a London street.....
