I read the news on a computer this morning.
I had been on vacation for a week and in a News vacuum.
I was surprised to see the story this morning,
◇Greg Allman was a magnificent singer-songwriter, and a man that I enjoyed listening to.
I could recite the words to many of ◇Greg Allman's songs right now for you.
There are many other bands and singers that I also like, and respect,
but ☆the Allman Brothers☆ songbook is especially close to home,
and one of the biggest influences musically on my own singing, writing,
remarking, and playing. I've seen ◇Mr Greg Allman perform with the ☆Allman bros☆,
or solo a bunch of times.
I like ◇Greg Allman's voice,
and during a number of karaoke sessions I have often tried to imitate ◇Greg's Vocals.
◇Greg Allman's laid back style of handling a song's delivery made me improve my voice.
In my early chapters, that is,…
in my high school days, ☆the Allman Brothers ☆ band was promoted near San Francisco
on the FM and Am radio stations almost every day,
and was much more frequently written about than any other Southern Rock band.
The story of how the band got together was one of the most popular in ¤Rolling Stone Magazine¤.
The stories and articles in the music business magazines about ♡Cher and ◇Greg,
always were hot topics and some of the most talked about and welcome.
Well even today,
I see myself getting another easy piano music book and learning more ◇Greg Allman songs.
There seems to be more to say, in the celebration of ◇Greg's life and career in music.
For the moment I will finish up this note by saying, I for one will miss him.
And that if anyone wants to,
they can join this topic-thread and add a few words and comments about why ◇Greg Allman's music was important to them.
If I want to list my favorite albums, I often put *Live at the Fillmore East*,
near the top of them.
Naturally the tragic news today made me sad, and blue, but writing about the old days helps ease the pain a little.
I'd like to mention that I've always treasured ☆The Allman Brothers☆ rock and roll music.
When I was young I was given a big box of new albums and a nice little record player. *Live at Fillmore East*,
was in an assortment of 20 or 25 records that were purchased for me
from a local Store that had a big discount sale back along time ago. Okay so well I must sign off for awhile.
Please add notes about ◇Greg Allman,
may he rest in peace, please.
